Doubles Tournament

Me and some friends went to a Warhammer 40k doubles tournament yesterday in Leuven (Belgium). Together with my brother-in-law we formed the team - you guessed it - "Wobbly Model Syndrome". Kudos to the organization for managing a very fun day of wargaming!

Three great battles against six fun opponents! Here are some pictures. We totally forgot to take pictures during the second battle - it was too intense. Sorry guys!

We played a double Eldar list, mainly built around two Farseers and eight Warlocks, all on jetbikes. Fortune & Invisibility make a really tough Seer Council. We won the first two battles, but met our match in the final round. Necroadeptus' and Elda's Necron-Nids were to much to handle - although the Seer Council managed to survive 5 rounds of combat againtst a Trygon, 6 Wraiths, a Destroyer Lord and 16 Termagants!

As a Nid-fanboy, I thought Elda's awesomely painted Tyranids deserved some special attention. You'll agree, I'm sure!

Nice, If i had known more before-hand I could have planned going to the tourney!

Thanks for the battle, it was a really nice game (even if i had to kill some lovely Eldar!). Hope to meet you once again on the table;)

Hey thought 'nids couldn't ally with anyone? i'd love to put nids and necrons together!

The rules of the tournament allowed nids to form desperate alliances with all other arnies - as they can infect virtually any race. Although with necrons...who knows how the nids did it ;)

The double Eldar list game as well as the gadgets and the design used is really marvelous. I cannot forget to mention the excitement that I got while I navigated to your writings. A creative design and fun with great honors. Thanks.
